TubeTrace® Type SEI/MEI – HTX2 – Thermon

Description

This is the most extreme temperature option in the electrically heated, isolated tubing bundles. It is specifically designed for the freeze protection of instrument and sample lines that are subject to frequent, short-term exposure to ultra-high temperatures, such as during intermittent superheated steam blows or purges. It is designed to provide basic freeze protection (maintaining 5°C / 40°F) while being able to withstand a maximum intermittent service temperature of 593°C (1100°F) for a short duration (typically 2 minutes per cycle) and a maximum continuous exposure temperature of 399°C (750°F). It uses a thermally isolated, cut-to-length electric heat trace (HPT power-limiting or USX self-regulating) to shield the heater from the intermittent high temperatures.

Features

  • Intermittent Extreme Exposure: Rated to withstand intermittent exposure temperatures up to 593°C (1100°F) (for example, 2 minutes per 2.5 hour cycle).
  • Continuous High Exposure: Rated for continuous exposure temperatures up to 399°C (750°F).
  • Application: Provides freeze protection (maintaining 5°C / 40°F) for instrument and sample lines that experience periodic exposure to superheated steam or other ultra-high temperatures.
  • Heat Trace Isolation: Uses an isolated, cut-to-length electric trace (HPT or USX) to protect the heater from the process tube’s high temperatures.
  • Safety: Features “Touch Safe” jackets to protect personnel.
  • Types: Available as SEI (Single Electrical Isolated) or MEI (Multiple Electrical Isolated).
