Description
This is an electrically heated and insulated tubing bundle that uses FP constant watt heat tracing for process temperature maintenance and freeze protection. It is a highly durable and reliable solution, particularly for emissions and process analyzer applications, designed to maintain temperatures up to 93°C (200°F). Because the FP cable has a constant power output, it does not experience a high inrush current upon start-up, unlike some self-regulating cables, which simplifies the sizing of circuit breakers.
Features
- Heat Trace Type: Uses FP constant watt parallel resistance heat tracing.
- Temperature Maintenance: Designed to maintain process temperatures typically up to 93°C (200°F).
- Maximum Exposure: Can withstand a maximum continuous exposure temperature (power off) of 204°C (400°F).
- Consistent Power: Provides a consistent watt density per unit length, regardless of ambient temperature.
- Electrical Advantage: Not subject to high inrush current on start-up, eliminating the need to oversize circuit breakers.
- Installation: “Cut-to-length” circuitry allows for easy field fabrication and termination.
- Certification: Approved for use in hazardous (classified) areas.
