Description
These bundles consist of multiple process and/or tracer tubes that are simply jacketed together without the surrounding thermal insulation. They are primarily used in applications where temperature maintenance or freeze protection is not required, or in locations where the ambient temperature is consistently high enough to prevent condensation or freezing. While they lack thermal insulation, the jacket provides mechanical protection and weatherproofing for the tubes inside.
Features
- No Thermal Insulation: Lacks the glass fiber or foam insulation found in pre-insulated bundles (like ThermoTube) or heated bundles.
- Mechanical Protection: The durable outer jacket (often ATP or TPU) protects the tubes from physical damage, abrasion, and moisture.
- Convenient Packaging: Packages multiple tubes (process, signal, or tracer) together in one jacket for a simpler and neater installation compared to running individual lines.
- Applications: Suitable for use in heated enclosures, inside buildings, or in areas where the ambient temperature is always above the fluid’s dew point or freeze point.
- Component Housing: Can contain both instrument tubes and unheated steam or electrical tracer tubes, with the primary purpose being to bundle and protect the components.
