Description

The FAK-8 Repair Kit is a compact accessory designed to create a weatherproof seal over minor damage or splice connections on the outer jacket and insulation of TubeTrace or ThermoTube bundles. It is primarily used for in-line field repairs to restore the integrity of the bundle’s exterior. The kit is available in two size variants: FAK-8: A small patch, typically 203 mm x 203 mm (8 inches x 8 inches), used for minor jacket punctures or small splice areas. FAK-8L: A larger strip, typically 203 mm x 2438 mm (8 inches x 96 inches), used for repairing longer lengths of damaged outer jacketing or multiple splices.

Features

• Materials: Includes self-sealing thermoplastic material adhered to a glass fiber reinforced backing, combined with high-temperature glass fiber insulation and heat reflective tape.
