Description

The FAK-10-B is a heat-shrinkable seal kit designed for bundles where two separate exposed tubes or components exit the end of the jacket. This kit is commonly used on single-process-tube, electrically traced bundles where the process tube and the electric heat tracing cable (for termination into a junction box) are split out and sealed.

Features

• Function: Provides a watertight, durable end seal for a bundle terminating in two exposed components (2-Legs).
• Seal Mechanism: Uses a molded heat shrink seal with two small openings for the outgoing tubes/cables. When heated, the seal conforms to the two exposed elements and the bundle jacket.
• Compatibility: Used typically on single-tube electric trace bundles (SE or SP bundles) up to approximately 41.9 mm (1.65 inches) O.D.
• Termination Use: Essential for maintaining the environmental integrity of the insulation layer when the electric heat trace cable is terminated outside the bundle.
• Temperature Rating: Maximum exposure temperature is typically 135°C (275°F).
