Description

The FAK-4S Sensor Kit is a control accessory specifically designed to create a weatherproof and insulated seal where an RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or thermocouple temperature sensor is to be installed onto an electrically heated TubeTrace bundle. It enables the precise monitoring of the process tube temperature at a critical point for accurate temperature control.

Features

• Function: Provides a sealed and insulated enclosure for the field installation of an RTD or Thermocouple sensor head.
• Compatibility: Used primarily on electrically heated TubeTrace bundles (SE/ME Types).
• Installation: Facilitates placing the sensor head assembly in intimate contact with the process tube (typically 180 degrees away from the heating cable) for the most accurate temperature reading.
• Seal Integrity: Includes a UV-resistant shell, glass fiber insulation, heat reflective tape, and RTV sealant to ensure the penetration point is thoroughly protected from environmental moisture.
• Components: Includes a sensor head mounting assembly to secure the sensor lead and typically a silicone gasket and sealant.
